PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
The Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Vancouver Island (formerly
Nanaimo) is proud to formally welcome our neighbouring communities by our recent
name change.
Our membership has expanded over the past several years to include
members from Port Alberni, Parksville, Qualicum, Salt Spring Island and Campbell
River. Our new name now reflects the contributions of these members.
The Canadian Home Builders’ Association is the voice of the residential building
industry. Our members represent all aspects of the housing industry. New home
builders, renovators, developers, trade contractors, product suppliers, lending
institutions, service professionals and other ancillary services are all proud members.
Professionalism, service and quality are the key goals of our members.
CHBA Central Vancouver Island is committed to enabling our members to achieve their
goals. CHBA offers courses on the BC Building Code, energy efficiency through the
Built GreenTM program, project management, law and financial management and we
encourage all members to make ongoing education a priority.
Consumers today are
well informed on available methods and materials and it is crucial for our members to
keep abreast of new developments.
As President of this Association I am proud to represent our members and look forward
to a successful year for all.
